About us

Cadi Ha were formed in 2010 and have been dancing out regularly since then. We practice in  Bangor University and have connections with the Bangor University Folk Society. Our members include students of Bangor University and people from the local community.  We are regularly invited to dance at local even
ts, including Conwy Feast and Rotary Club Summer Fair and Greenwood Park.  In 2012 we had our very own Weekend of Dance where morris teams from various parts of UK joined us to dance in Caernarfon, Portmeirion and Beddglert.

We have danced at Cecil Sharp House in London at a St. David's day celebration, Hwyl, organised by the Green Man Festival. We have also visited Bristol for the Joint Morris Organisation's Day of dance and also had a great time taking part at the Littleborough Rushcart.

Along with Bangor University Folk Society, we also organise free ceilidhs at the university, featuring local ceilidh bands. Bangor University Folk Society also run weekly acoustic music sessions.

Cadi Ha Morris dance out at local pubs, fetes, and festivals and often with other local sides. We are a friendly mixed team of lively dancers and musicians of all ages. We dance Cotswold morris and generally concentrate on Bampton, Bledington, Adderbury and Oddington traditions. We practice regularly on Thursday evenings at Rathbone Hall*, College Road, Bangor from September to May, 8pm to 10pm. We welcome new recruits, either dancers or musicians, students or non-students. All welcome, no experience needed, just enthusiasm for dancing, playing and having FUN! For further information, phone or email Jan at cadihamorris@gmail.com.
